Why We Use Astro for This Site

· Autonish

Autonish is built with Astro. Here’s why that choice fits a tech-news site.

Speed by default
Astro ships zero JavaScript unless you add it. Pages are mostly static HTML and CSS, so they load quickly and score well on Core Web Vitals. That’s better for readers and for search.

Content-first
Markdown and MDX are built in. We write in familiar formats, and Astro turns them into pages with minimal setup. Content collections give us a clear schema and type safety.

SEO and accessibility
Static output, semantic HTML, and easy meta and structured data make it straightforward to build an SEO- and accessibility-friendly site. Fast, readable pages also help ad placements perform without hurting experience.

Simple deployment
The site is static. We build once and deploy to any CDN or host (Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare Pages, etc.) with no server to maintain.

If you’re building a blog or news site and care about performance and simplicity, Astro is worth a look.
